Once upon a time, these words were warmth.
Blanketing my skin.
Moving in and out of me, excited.
Flames of a four letter word in my chest.
It was yours, ironic.
That flame shall now eradicate.
Burn.
All I once knew, severed.
Ties chained to my heart's discontent.

Scorched tissue.

Memories.
The poison in my veins, devour.

Why do I return to this place?
Sadistic.
The mind is my weapon of choice.
Lingering on what once was, past.
Where I have been.

I found a four letter word to be.
Holding its own weight in sand, falling.
Through my hands.
In the now.
My eyes fixed in trance.

The burden upon me falls to the floor.
