Take every other instance away.
The mockery and the mob.
They desire me to be left for dead.
To glorify their customs and reoccurring mistakes.
I have many answers, but never the right one.
A self guided journey to an endless failure.
How do I cease a system that never sleeps?
Doubt spits upon me.
Guilt will destroy the crystal nature residing within my skin.
I've done nothing to inherit your heart.
Yet still you offer with an open hand.
So what then?
After seeing that I am just like the rest.
Where does your love come from?
How can you see and stay through all of this apathetic decay?
By strike or silence I comprehend.
Show me what I cannot see.
This darkness is deep.
I feel the split of the atom, and the cold debris in my chest.
Thinly spread strength is all I have left.
No flavor or sustenance.
Just a means to an end.
As of late, I find my conviction at the beginning of a shore.
Starting my return to brave the open sea.
Feeding off tasteless ideals that were once naive.
Light hovers over the deep.
A new found courage breathes into me.
This was always going to be something I could never understand.
By trial and error.
Grace and death.
I will come back clean.
Ready to wait.
Building my spirit to soar instead of sink.
In faith I will seek.
Finding you in every grave I dig.
Knock down the caverns walls, for I cannot hide.
Open wide your arms upon my conclusion.
All in which I need is your attention.
Here I am.
